New Orleans for three days including Halloween
Stayed at the French Quarter Rv park, it was a nice rv park but it was like Fort Knocks which was good in a way. High brick walls with picks on them and a gate to go in. Good thing was that you could walk to the action just had to be careful of the spare parking lot which was a little scary if out late, it was recommended to take a cab home and not walk that area.
Beautiful plantation did not get a picture straight on what was I thinking!!!
First crop indigo used for its blue dye in the army
Slave quarters to be called a plantation the owner had to have 50 slaves working
No nails used
marble bath
Museum of Mardi Gras and Huricain Katrina
French Quarter had a coffee and beignet oh so good
Loved the chandelier in this store
Tour of cemetery,
Here is the tomb of Queen Voodoo you can leave an offering and make a wish by spinning three times and write three XXX and your wish is to come true.
Kind of scary
They lock the doors at 3:30 very creepy all you hear are "doors closing" "time to leave" and imagine someone being stuck in there, we were told that they actually wait 5 minutes and call out again before actually locking up.
Girls were very lucky these kind campers were giving the girls dollar bills!!!
Park party
In the French quarter big group of Waldos
Notice the wagon it has a keg of beer, in New Orleans French Quarter it is Open Container law so you can walk around shop and drink :)
Only in New Orleans
I am taking advantage of this law beer in hand watching the action
waiting for the parade enjoying the scenery ;)
Missed a few floats camera acting up
Why not
Beads were thrown from the floats very cool!!
This is Bourdon street basically a party street
