Drove to Florida's Gulf of Mexico also known as the Emerald Coast, I can see why beautiful white beaches with emerald water.

Really??
Looks a little messy back there ;)

Florida's state parks are amazing and priced right at 26 - 38 $ a night

we had red flag quite often the beach was closed for 2 days with double red flag

Walking on the beach at Fort Pickens Campgrounds Gulf Island's National park stayed for 3 nights

Sun goes down so fast

Next day finally a bit of summer in November
Look at the school of fish in the waves there were hundreds of them. They would surf right close to shore, they were about a foot and a half in size.

Happy times!!!

Beaches are pretty well empty
The road to arrive at the campsite is so narrow and often floods, one of the warnings in the package is to be ready to evacuate in case of bad weather due to flooding. The parks that we visited had board walks to the beach.

In Fort Pickens

Crab

Sandcastle time !!!!

Love sunsets
This was AMAZING!!!! Look at the fish coming into shore ... we were wondering why they were coming in so close and so fast

There is a slight shadow behind them
IT IS A SHARK ON THE ATTACK!!!!
It just grabbed one of the fish feet from shore, it look to be about 4 to 5 feet in length
I was really excited to be able to catch this on film just happen to have my camera out and Bob noticed the fish coming in. I understand why they say not to swim at dust, night or dawn.
Henderson Beach State park
Beautiful campground large private sites, washers and dryers, wifi and a beautiful beach! Close to town with a Walmart on the corner.

Huge waves hold on to each other

Attempt at boogie boarding

Sunbathing

Oh ya this is fun!

had to try

Yes that is me riding the wave :)
Moved on to Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park
Another beautiful place, we were surprised that there was a bridge to this remote area.

Dangerous Marine Life ok lets go swimming

Fishing for sharks, he said he caught a 4 foot one that morning (yes we were swimming down from them, but keeping an eye out)

Time to get out of the water (I could hear the music playing da ra da ra ....)

They were not sharks maybe dauphins or porpoise
Very beautiful and so close to shore

Oyster fishing
Left the Emerald Coast and moved to Manatee Springs State Park
Arrived at Yellow jacket (private campground very nice) on Suwanee River hoping to see a Manatee

Bob saw a manatee in the water I missed it
Moved to the State Park were the Manatee go for the winter since the spring is warm

Nearly lost the dog ... that is another story
I could not imagine going into that water and proceeding down a cavern

This green alga is around a water cavern sink hole that leads to the spring

Love the colour of the water, this is the spring.
I suffer from this

Such a spooky forest

Turtles but no manatee

Sturgeon fish

Very tame deer

Little armadillo such a strange and wonderful creature

Another butt picture

Swimming area Sabrina is coming up to the spring

Vines on the trees spooky
The next day when the girls were swimming snorkelers came up from the under water caverns, one of them noticed an alligator on the far corner and mentioned to the girls not to go in that section, we thought it was best to get out.

Well there is an alligator !!!!
Moved on to the East Coast Atlantic ocean stayed at Sebastian Inlet State Park
Great place beautiful the waves were perfect for surfing and boogie boarding.

Best lunch ever watching the surfers

Wasn't that cool?! Lets do it again!
