Northern Rockies from Fort Nelson to Whistler

We are heading down to Victoria
Nice campground there pool was still open YAY

Exploration place

Lac La Hache nice place lots of trees owner said that he has never seen so many late campers as this year.

Love these hills lots of ranches

On the side of a cliff Fraser river at bottom

This is the scenic route into Whistler we were told that it was ok for an rv at the visitor center .... well it wasn't but it all worked out all right.  Very beautiful, we could not believe the drop off especially Bob who is scared of heights.

Fraser river see the road we drove on that

That is the road :)

Bus going under trail tracks very tight

Dog we met very cute

Don't look down the climb begins

We were not sure of the percent signs but learnt very quickly the higher the percent  the steeper the hill.  13% is very very steep

Stopped for a walk and for Bob to relax

Down hill begins

the sign reads avalanche control using explosives may begin without warning   comforting!!!!!

This is not good

Brakes from all four tires smoking Bob has fire extinguisher talk about smoke and smell .... we thought we were done once more.  Fortunately we checked in Victoria and all is good wore half the brakes in the front back still good.

So we stopped for a half hour till it cooled off and drove a little further to Nairn Falls Provincial park near Pemberton.  Had a glass of whine and we're thankful to have made it.

Sabrina and I hiked up to see the falls

snake

Whistler

Blueberries? not sure

In Whistler at Squamish Lil'wal Cultural Center beautiful place learnt about natives of that region.  Especially carving with cedar, young tour guide talked about canoe voyages, we made a bracelet with cedar and they sang us a song.  Very cool!
